first of all, it's a great idea. lets drop .mac or other costly solution that we use just to transfer files.

i tried this soft with someone in france (i'm in florida) and it didn't work.
we did paste the slip correctly, download buttton appeared but no transfer.
also i got disconnected several times without any reason. i was going between different apps but that's all....
any clue ?

2nd round:
i tried it again with a friend in france that has a pc and it wotked from his pc to my mac, very slowly but worked. the other way around was not that great he could barely stand the connexion more than 5 secs.
i will retry from a pc laptop to his pc and see what it does

France is currently on our list of countries with problematic ISPs. Unlike the Netherlands or England, users from France are not able to establish very good direct connections to users in the US and Canada.

I've been working on some improvements to speed up such connections for the next release. We're also adding a web hosting add-on that should help alleviate the problem.

i'm so glad that you came up with this soft even if it needs touchups. if some day you are able to make that thing work as well as any big network i'd be glad to contribute financially to it as more and more people just need a simple, fast, private and secure way to send files to each other like vacation pics and movies.

they got pretty goog and fast connections over there.
